Pet Taxi exists to remove that friction, reliably, professionally, and with your pet’s safety as the priority.
Our Story
Pet Taxi was founded by Swiss–New Zealand entrepreneur Andre Perry after relocating from Switzerland to Wellington in 2025.
As a Samoyed owner, Andre quickly saw a consistent problem. Not just personally, but across conversations with other pet owners. People were being refused rides, waiting too long, or struggling to find any reliable way to transport their pets when they couldn’t do it themselves.
What should be simple, getting your dog or cat from A to B, was unnecessarily difficult.
That gap led to a clear opportunity: bring a dedicated, purpose-built Pet Taxi service to New Zealand.
Why Pet Taxi Exists
Traditional transport options weren’t designed for pets.
Rideshare drivers can refuse animals. Public transport isn’t always practical. Friends and family aren’t always available. And most services require the owner to be present.
The result: missed appointments, added stress, and compromised care.
Pet Taxi was built to solve this properly.
